UK Domain registrant transfer
The transfer of ownership or registrant details for UK domains must always be completed through Nominet's official registrant transfer process. This is a mandatory requirement for all UK domain names. Registrant changes can only be facilitated via Nominet, the official registry for UK domain names (NOMINET. ORG.UK).

Please note that NOMINET charges an administrative fee of £10 + VAT for all UK domain registrant changes. This fee is the buyer's responsibility when accepting the transfer.
Here's how the process works
- After we come to an agreement, we will initiate the registrant change through our Nominet account to your email address.
- You will receive an email from NOMINET with instructions on how to accept the transfer.
- Please follow the steps to accept the transfer and complete the Nominet admin fee which is £10+VAT
- During the transfer process, you’ll also have the option to move the domain to a registrar of your choice.
- You make the payment to us through PayPal, credit or debit card after you accept the transfer.
The entire process is straightforward, takes less than 15 minutes to complete, and the transfer is instant once finished.
Important Notes
- Nominet charges a £10 administrative fee for the ownership transfer, which you’ll need to pay directly to them when accepting the transfer.
- In case you need any help. Nominet has excellent chat and phone support that can guide you.
- Or you can reach out to us and we will guide you through it.
For the payment to us, we will send a PayPal payment link after initiating the transfer for the agreed amount which you can complete via PayPal if you have one or using a credit/debit card after you accept the transfer and must be completed on the same day the transfer is finalized unless otherwise agreed upon.
